The Evangel Lightning Bass Fishing team season runs from September to late May. Although the team has only been in existence for three years, they have placed well in many tournaments competing against several other well-established, ranking teams across the State of Alabama. In the fall 2022 season, on the ASABFA Three River Throwdown Trail, the team placed second along with several first-place finishes by individuals throughout the season. They claimed the 2022 ASABFA 2nd Place Team of the Year in the 4A-7A School Classification and in 2023 were named the ASABFA Team of the Year.

Six Lightning Anglers competed in the 2023 Bassmaster High School National Championship in late July 2023. With the 2023-2024 Season in full swing, our anglers are looking forward to another successful season on the water.
